Dorset County Council (DCC) and the South West Regional Improvement and Efficiency Partnership (South West RIEP) are working together to establish a regional framework agreement that addresses the need for consultancy support in relation to waste and environmental services.

Regional Waste Services Programme The South West Centre of Excellence (a member of the LIFT SW Partnership) has set-up a new Waste Services Programme to assist local authorities identify and realise efficiency savings in this important sector. The programme is particularly focused on progressing partnership or coordinated working.

SW Urban Grounds Maintenance & Street Cleansing Project Toolkit To investigate and document the relative size, cost and delivery processes for grounds maintenance and street cleansing services in each of the four partner district councils and to compare the relative performance. Then as a result of this investigation, improve the quality and efficiency of service by improving and rationalising urban and urban fringe grounds maintenance based on a new service specification.
