This body meets twice a year and is chaired by Brian Jones, SENAD Group. The Forum is open to all current and potential providers to commissioning authorities in the South West and to commissioners. Members pay a subscription to offset costs.

Within the Provider Forum commissioners can discuss with suppliers all matters of mutual interest and seek to agree principles for joint working in relation to the provision of placements for children with specialised and complex needs. There are five special interest working groups: Placement processes (chair Stuart Nicklin, SWAAY), Support for Placements (chair Paul Mills, Woodside Foster Care), Future Needs (chair Andrew Rome, Revolution Consulting), Contracts and Contracting (Brian Jones, SENAD) and Outcomes for Children (chair Tracy de Bernhardt Dunkin (SW School & College)
