The South West Children's Services Collaborative Commissioning Unit
Children’s Services Commissioning is carried out by local authorities and PCT's. The Collaborative Commissioning Support Unit assists them to share experience, learning and good practice, develops and runs infrastructure for common use, and promotes and facilitates sub-regional projects.

The Collaborative Commissioning Support Unit assists them to share experience, learning and good practice, develops and runs infrastructure for common use, and promotes and facilitates sub-regional projects. It has a leader, John Lees of the SWCoE, and organises the regional Commissioning Forum and Providers Forum as well as acting as a focus for attracting and administering project funding. The CCSU Steering Group is chaired by Vincent Clark, Assistant Director Commissioning Children’s Services for Torbay, with membership from Local Authorities, Health and GOSW. This group reports to the Regional Partnership Governance Board, chaired by Colin Diamond, Director of Children and Young People’s Services for North Somerset on behalf of the SW Directors of Children’s Services. The board has a wide membership and also governs the activities of the Regional Partnership.
