Project Initiation Document
Project Objectives and Scope
To ensure better outcomes for Children and Young People and to deliver efficiency savings by developing an effective Regional Information System and management processes to inform the Regional Commissioning Strategy.
Project Status
Ten authorities have joined the Cross Regional Placement Database (CRPD) run by Hertfordshire on behalf of Eastern, East Midlands, South East and South West regions and are benefiting from the placement finding, provider monitoring and fee increase procedures. The region is actively contributing to the revamp of the CRPD. An activity to achieve better use of existing data & to establish what else is needed has begun. Information from the Peninsula Projects is being evaluated and will be shared.
Project Output
Cashable benefits from the use of the CRPD in 2006/7 are currently being evaluated.
Placement and Provider data for authorities in the SW has been collected on spreadsheets and can be accessed by commissioners in the members area.
User instructions for the CRPD are also in the members area.
