Project Objectives
The key objectives of the project are to ensure better outcomes for Children and Young People and to deliver efficiency savings by setting up a Collaborative Commissioning Support Unit to develop partnerships and collaborative working between commissioners in the region.
Project Status
The Unit is in being and was officially launched on 21st September. It has a leader and employs other assistance as required for particular activities. It organises and runs the Provider and Commissioning Forums. A key role is to encourage and facilitate sub-regional collaborative activities. The Unit has attracted funding from SWCoE and from DFCS (under their Regional Commissioning Pilots scheme) and will seek further funding as required.
