Service Provider Seminars
Seminars for service providers and wider authority audiences have been held over the programme to keep the marketplace fully informed of developments in local authority social care transition planning practices and project findings.
A number of provider events were held during the summer of 2006 to inform providers on the programme and introduce the Fair Pricing Tool and Provider and Placement database to them. Details of the Fair Pricing Tool and Database can be found on the Fair Pricing & Provider & Placement Database page
The first event of 2007 was a joint event with the Learning & Skills Council [LSC], held on 24th May 2007 to launch their strategy “Learning for living and work - Making it happen in the South West” Details of the partnership working between SW CoE and LSC can be found on the Developing model Partnerships page.
On Mat 1st 2008, an event was held to disseminate the findings from Project 3 on Somerset's Transitions Project undertaken within Somerset. The final report can be found on the Developing model Partnerships page.
In August 2008, a number of roadshows were undertaken to present the Fair Pricing Tool and Pacement Database to commissioners and providers in Mental Health. Details can be found on the Events Page.
