SW RIEP are able to provide a subset of on-line e-learning modules from Learning Pool free of charge to all the local authorities in the South West
The courses currently available are:

Change Management This course focuses on how to win hearts and minds during organisational change.
It looks at change from the perspective of participants, advocates, change leaders and change agents, whilst also introducing tools that can be used to manage people through a change process.

Introduction to Local Government This module is designed to give you an insight into the purpose of local government, how it operates, who it involves and how it came about.

E-Procurement for Practitioners This module covers the background to the introduction of e-procurement in the public sector, the benefits of e-procurement to both government and suppliers, and identifies steps that suppliers may need to take to give their business the best chance of securing contracts with local councils.

The Learning Manager This course is aimed at middle managers and focuses on improving communication skills and working practices to develop personal leadership.

Building Partnerships Due to legislation and policy initiatives, local authorities are increasingly expected to engage in partnership-working. This module looks at how to do this successfully. It gives you the opportunity to reflect on your own experiences of partnership-working and introduces you to the skills and competencies needed to create better partnerships.

Introduction to Equality and Diversity Equality and diversity (E&D) is more important than ever, with new laws giving public services specific duties to promote equality and diversity in their workforces and in their local communities.
