Stakeholder Engagement and Communications

Stakeholder Engagement & Communications Workshop is an introduction to the theory and practice of this key activity in any change programme. The course provides an overview of the responsibilities, tools and skills required to manage this capability effectively. The course can lead to the award of a nationally recognised certificate accredited by ASET following an assessment exercise.

It aims to promote and understanding of the critical role of stakeholder engagement to the success of change in organisation and introduces:

The stakeholder engagement process and supporting tools

Communication management techniques for stakeholder engagement.

We also offer this course as a council specific, on-site business transformation skills courses. The costs, structure, numbers and format of the on-site courses (e.g. numbers limited to 12-15 per day) will mirror the public courses, with the key difference that wherever possible the on-site courses will be tailored to meet the requirements of the council-specific project.

What are the learning outcomes?

Understand the critical role of Stakeholder Engagement and effective communications in successful organisational change,

Be able to justify the use of Stakeholder Engagement in an overall process for organisational change,

Describe the Stakeholder Engagement Process,

Be able to identify and analyse stakeholders for the purpose of effective engagement,

Be able to create a communications plan to deliver Stakeholder Engagement objectives,

Understand and be able to apply a range of tools and techniques to enable engagement.

  • Be familiar with the techniques and tools
  • Understand communications in the change lifecycle
  • Be able to develop a workplace action plan to support stakeholder engagement through communications
  • Opportunity to obtain a nationally recognised certificate accredited by ASET following an assessment exercise.

Delivery Methodology:

Attendees are encourages to bring forward relevant situations from their workplace for illustration and discussion.The case study and exercise are relevant to the organisational situation of the attendees who are encouraged to use their own experience to broaden the exercises.The assessment is based on the workplace situation and requires the delegate to apply knowledge and tools from the course to their own situation.Our trainers have an excellent track record in adding value above the course material.

What is the cost?

The course is extensively subsidised at a competitive price of £50 per delegate, inclusive of course material and assessment fees, but excluding accommodation.

Lunch and refreshments are included in the delegate price for our public venues.
