Attendees should have, or expect to have, a leadership or sponsorship role in managing a change programme now, or in the near future.

Learning Outcomes:

As a result of attending this workshop delegates will:

  • Understand how to maximise their leadership contribution within a project or programme environment
  • Understand the key concepts around Managing Successful Programmes
  • Experience the reality of the role by walking through a day in the life of a sponsor
  • Gain a recognition of the relevance of the Programme Management framework

Who should attend?

  • Directors taking a Senior Responsible Owner role

  • Directors in a Sponsor group or oversight board
  • Leaders of a programme or project board

Delivery Methodology:

The workshop content is driven by the attendees and their specific situation. The workshop facilitator will engage with the attendees to discuss their situation and adjust the topics and depth of discussion to meet their needs.

The material will be slides, with the delegates having supporting notes to provide additional information for each slide or to highlight key messages.

There will be no case study, as it is anticipated that the event will focus on the change programme for the authority and discussions will be encouraged within that context.
