Governance and Accountability
The SW RIEP is led by elected Members through the SW Council’s Business Committee, supported by the Chief Executive Management Group. They set the strategic direction for the RIEP and review progress on delivery.
The SW RIEP also now has a Champion from each of the four main political groups:

Deputy Chair, SW Councils - Cllr Alan Connett, Teignbridge DC, Lib Dem
Deputy Chair, SW Councils - Cllr Roger Hutchinson, South Gloucestershire Council, Labour Chair, SW Councils
- Cllr Ray Frost, Teignbridge DC, Independent

The Challenge and Delivery Group and the SW Joint Improvement Partnership (for Adult Services) provide operational expertise, guidance and challenge.
Each workstream, and a number of network groups, are supported by Programme Boards, often involving elected Members as “Champions”.
