Julian Morley has been in post as Director of the SW RIEP since it’s inception as the South West Centre of Excellence in November 2004.
Julian joined the Partnership directly from the private sector after many years experience driving efficiency and improvement in blue chip companies like Mars GB and Hewlett Packard, and latterly as a management consultant at PRTM, based in the 'Atlantic region'.
Julian is passionate about customer-led change and using this to drive business transformation. He also believes that partnership working is key, but only when there is a clear business case and keen strategic alignment between the parties. Impact on the local economy and environment is also important.
Julian is a graduate of Cambridge University, a Chartered Engineer, has an MBA from the Ecole Europeene des Affairs in Paris, is a member of the Royal Academy of Engineering and is a Sainsbury Management Fellow. He lives with his family in the heart of Dorset.
