Join us at our next CFT-Network Action Learning Event on Friday June 6th for a site visit and round table discussion at Bristol City Council and DHL consolidation centre in Avonmouth, Bristol.

As those of you who were present at our 25th February CFT-Network Sharing Agenda conference will recall, in 2004 Bristol City Council opened a consolidation centre in partnership with DHL. The outcomes of the initiative are impressive and include (May 2004 to date):

• 75% reduction in delivery vehicle trips for participating retailers
• Saving 196,000 vehicle kilometres
• Saving over 22 tonnes of CO2
• Re-cycling of 14 tonnes of cardboard and plastic waste and much more

This is a rare opportunity for 15 executives from Local Authorities across the region to get together, meet representatives from Bristol City Council and DHL Teams and share their perspectives, learnings and investigate the applicability to your circumstances.
