Migrating from the Local Government Equality Standard to the New Equality Framework In April 2009, the Equality Standard for local government becomes the new Equality Framework.
RIEP South West are organizing two free events in April and May in Dorset and Bristol.
The objectives of the day are:
to ensure that authorities understand the difference between the Equality Standard for Local Government (ESLG) and the new Equality Framework for Local Government (EFLG)
to give participants an opportunity to explore the different aspects of the EFLG
to provide participants with positive examples of innovative equalities initiatives across the public sector
The day will be facilitated by Anjali Arya, Equality Consultant and co-author of the Equality Framework for Local Government and RIEP consultants.
This event is aimed at Equality, Performance Review and Policy Officers as well as senior managers responsible for the equality agenda. It will be of particular benefit for those charged with taking their authority forward against the new Equality Framework
