Gateway Review Training 13th October 2009

SW RIEP are providing local authority officers with the opportunity to undertake a one day course to become a 4ps Gateway Reviewer.

The training is a one day event and as a reviewer you will only be expected to do a maximum of one review per year, lasting approximately 5 days.

The course will take place on Tuesday 13th October at Taunton Rugby Club, Somerset , 8.45am - 5pm.

The cost of the course is £125 per person (this has been subsidised by the SWRIEP, original cost would be £250 per person).

'Preparing for a Gateway Review' is a one-day practical workshop designed around a realistic case study of a medium risk project. The day is structured to guide participants through the Gateway Review Process and utilises a series of workshop sessions to cover the primary principles and techniques of the 4ps Gateway Process.

Each workshop session enables participants to:

• Evaluate project material related to each phase in a Gateway Review
• Explore the appropriate approaches for that phase through group discussion
• Review and consolidate the learning for that phase, supported by facilitator led discussion and prepared checklists
• Discuss and apply Gateway Best Practice.

The four key workshop sessions are:

• Gateway Best Practice
• Planning for a Gateway Review
• Undertaking a Gateway Review
• Reporting on a Gateway Review
