Is citizen insight on your radar?

Are you:

  • Facing growing public expectations of local services?
  • Planning how to meet CAA ’s new reporting requirements?
  • Trying to build a shared understanding of your customers with your partner service providers?

Citizen insight can help you deliver services that are responsive to the needs of your citizens.

This is a focused ½ day event with no more than 15 attendees and will be run by Local Government Customer Insight experts from RSe Consulting (authors of the LGA’s soon to be published Customer Insight Guidance). It will be an interactive session focusing on practical ways for local authorities to develop and then use customer insight and to share experiences between organisations. Attending this session will give you clear and achievable steps as well as understanding so you can take forward customer insight in your authority.

So what do we mean by citizen insight? In essence, it is:

  • The use of information about customers to better understand their needs, wants, expectations and experiences
  • The use of this understanding to design and deliver services that better meet customers’ needs.

And what is it not?

  • Customer insight is not just about collecting or purchasing data; lots of data actually exists already, often it’s about synthesising this into useful insight
  • Customer Insight is not just undertaking demographic segmentation; it involves using a range of data, tools and techniques to generate a rich understanding
  • Customer Insight is not a one-off activity but a journey that councils go through as your understanding of customers will evolve over.

Coffee and registration at 9.30am.
